Magical Season of Giving
Q. What is Magical Season of Giving, when is it and how does it work?
A. Magical Season of Giving is a fundraising opportunity that will take place November 15th through December 14th at Northtown Mall. The promotion allows local non-profit organizations to compete for cash prizes. The participating organizations will receive points for Northtown Mall receipts turned in to Guest Services. The Northtown Mall retailer receipts must be dated November 15 – December 14, 2008. One point is awarded for each dollar spent. The group with the most points will win the Grand Prize of $2,000. The second through fourth place groups will also receive cash prizes.
Q. How do participating groups accumulate points?
A. Customers can bring their receipts from any Northtown Mall Retailer dated
November 15, 2008 through December 14, 2008 to Guest Services. One point will be awarded to the group of their choice for each dollar spent. All receipts are stamped and returned to the customer immediately.
Q. Are there any ticket sales involved?
A. No, there are no ticket sales involved. Your group only needs to spread the word to everyone you can about the event. The more people your group has turning in receipts for you the better chance you have of winning a cash prize.
Q. How does my group participate?
A. If you haven’t already filled out a participation form online, registration forms can also be completed at the mall office during the business day, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm or one can be mailed to you just call us at 786-9705 and request a form. A copy of your non-profit designation letter can be mailed or/faxed to us at 763-780-5524.
Q. Are there any Bonus Points opportunities?
A. Yes. Throughout the event there will be opportunities to make purchases on specific days for bonus points as well as when you purchase a photo from Santa or Northtown Mall Gift Cards. Please see the events tab for details.
Q. Do the Northtown Retailers located outside the main mall count?
A. Yes. Receipts from the following retailers located around Northtown Mall’s perimeter can also be turned in: The Home Depot, Old Chicago, Buffalo Wild Wings, Starbucks, Verizon, Potbelly Sandwiches, Game Stop and FedEx Kinko’s.
Q. Can we solicit people at the mall to hand in receipts for our group?
A. No. We do not allow solicitation on the property. You should promote your groups participation through your groups emails, newsletter, website, etc.
Q. Why can’t school groups participate?
A. Northtown Mall has a school specific program called Earning For Learning that takes place in the fall.
